  17. Do you support subdomains?
Yes! Subdomains are a neat feature included on every KnopNet hosting account. Subdomains are 3rd level domain names. They are in the format: subdomain.yoursite.com. Subdomains are useful for separating parts of your site. To create a sub-domain, enter your control panel, then click on the button named Subdomains. The subdomain page lists the current subdomains and then below that there is a field where you can enter a new subdomain and create/edit. To create a new subdomain, enter its name in the text box and click add. The system will then create the subdomain and create a sub directory with the same name as the subdomain in public_html where you can upload pages to the subdomain. It will also create a cgi-bin directory in that folder where you can put your cgi scripts. To delete a subdomain, simply select it from the drop down box next to the Delete button, and click it. An extra feature of subdomains is you can create a FTP account to allow FTP access to it without giving out your main FTP password for the rest of your site.
